  The sport industry has followed other businesses in the use of data and analytics to develop successful business models. Sports franchises have begun to integrate data tracking, data models, and analytical thinking into their decision-making process in order to maximize their resources and produce a better product. Many sport teams are building entire departments full of analysts for the sole purpose of building models and tracking data and statistics. With this increased use of data, the fan experience in the sport industry is beginning to grow in ways never seen before. The amount of information available to fans is forever changing the way that sports are watched and enjoyed. At their fingertips, fans have access to the same information that most professional teams use. This project highlights how data and analytical decision-making has impacted the sports industry at the management and fan level.
